    Human-centric technology is my passion.

    I have spent 30 years finding solutions that enhance and simplify everyday life for our clients. I have extensive experience in luxury residential and commercial field service projects throughout the United States.

  • Elliot Smith

    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

    I am the numbers guy. My love of numbers and people, fuels me. As CFO, I strive to understand how honoring both people and numbers, can add up to the wellbeing of the whole. My passion is finding ways to maximize the cycle of value both monetarily and personally for everyone at Qnorthwest. In my free time I love biking, skiing, and spending time with my wife and daughters.

    Building things has always been my passion and from a young age I have always looked for opportunities to build. As I’ve worked my way up at Qnorthwest, from the field, to technical lead and now Chief Executive Officer, I’ve used that passion every step of the way. I also love adventure and sailing expeditions with my wife and dog.

    Technology has always been my friend. Growing up, I found solace and purpose in understanding how the items in my daily life functioned. With 15 years in the industry I strive to deliver the most reliable solutions for our projects that this ever-changing technology field has to offer. I enjoy spending time outdoors and I feel lucky to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

    Early on I became enthralled with the idea that our private spaces inform how we interact with the world. Born and raised in the beautiful Pacific Northwest I have been lucky to personally experience how a balanced home environment enables me to engage more fully in day to day life. It’s my life’s work to help clients build their own personal haven.

  • Cooper Wortley

    PROJECT MANAGER

    Creating has always been at the forefront of my life. I believe that for every need there is a solution. I find joy in working with our clients and team members to fully understand the need and creating technology solutions catered to the betterment of each individual's day to day life. In my free time I am often found behind a saw, working on projects of my own or with a fork in hand taking in all the great food the Northwest has to offer.

    SPECIAL PROJECTS

    I started at Qnorthwest working on the commercial programming side; and now work closely with our Projects team. I enjoy having a hand in the broad range of work that we engage in. Whether I’m delivering materials out to a jobsite or keeping our office fridge stocked with sodas, I love ensuring that our Qnorthwest team is operating smoothly . When I am not in the office, I can often be found outdoors, enjoying the diverse landscape of the Pacific Northwest.

    SYSTEM INTEGRATOR

    I joined the Qnorthwest team in 2017. The most enjoyable parts of my work include the variety of projects that I encounter, and the high-caliber technicians that I get to work with. Whatever the client's needs may be, we will always find a solution. When I'm not working, you can find me camping and hiking, writing and playing music, working on home projects, and traveling. I've lived in a lot of different places, and I'm happy to call the Pacific Northwest my home.

    Starting out in Ohio, I have spent 10 years in this incredible industry. I like how every day is a little different, and includes unique problems to solve. I love how Qnorthwest truly puts family and employees first. I am happy to be in the Pacific Northwest, spending time with my wife and watching my two girls as they grow up.

    SPECIAL PROJECTS

    22 years ago, I became the first Qnorthwest employee and I haven’t been happier. I enjoy working with the Qnorthwest team to engineer unique solutions for our clients. My passions are exploring the Pacific Northwest with my family. I am a Warrant Officer with 23 years in the Army National Guard. Some of my hobbies include road-trips, hiking, skiing and gardening.

    Colby Reifler

    SYSTEM INTEGRATOR

    I have been in this industry for 20 years. Every day is a new adventure with new problems to solve and creations to make. To see a project go from an idea to reality is truly magical and rewarding. What I love about Qnorthwest is the people first mentality. In my spare time I create mechanical monsters and work on the restoration of two historic military tugboats the ATA-202 (USCG Commanche) and the LT-2076 (New Gunnie).

    02 APPRENTICE

    I started working as a residential electrician four and a half years ago to pay for a master’s degree and liked it so much I decided to stick with it after graduating. I love that Qnorthwest pushes me to be a better electrician, takes great care of the team and provides incredible service to our clients at the same time. When I’m not at work I’m canoeing or hiking with my wife, brewing beer, playing board games with friends or helping out at our church.

  • Aaron Fraser

    CONTRACTING PROJECT MANAGER

    I started my electrical career based on the suggestion of a friend, not realizing how much I would grow to enjoy the trade. I hold a Washington State EL02 Residential Electrician license, and joined Qnorthwest in early 2023. I live on beautiful Whidbey Island with my wife, and spend my free taking beach walks with our rescue dog, Dezmond.

    I chose to pursue residential electrical career because it challenges me physically and mentally. I enjoy looking back on each day to see not only growth in myself but a finished product I can be proud of. Qnorthwest is a place where I am constantly learning new things about my field and professionalism.

    I like being an electrician because I get to bring power to our client’s lives! I have been a commercial and residential electrician for five years. I enjoy being an electrician because of the longevity of the industry and the physical and mental challenge. Qnorthwest is a welcoming environment and I’m a happy team member. I enjoy the outdoors and I love to spending time with my beautiful wife and kids.

    I love electrical systems, and how they really make a house feel like the comfortable living space you want to be in. I genuinely love the process of taking a set of blueprints and figuring out how to make it the most comfortable living space possible for the people who will be living there. There are so many options to really make it your own! Outside of work I love hanging out with my kids.

    CONTRACTING ELECTRICIAN

    I enjoy being an electrician because the scope of work is constantly changing and I am always learning new things. Electrical work is sometimes a giant game of connect the dots and I love the challenge. I have been in the industry for over five years and appreciate the team at Qnorthwest. My passions are my family (wife and two boys 8 and 5) and the Seahawks (season ticket holder since 2008).

    The thing I like most about being a Residential Electrician is the reward of being able to solve and fix problems. I’ve in the industry since 2019. I started out in new construction then custom homes and now service. I chose this profession because I am naturally curious. I enjoy the challenge of troubleshooting and helping clients find unique solutions. In my spare time you’ll find me with my wife and two daughters.

    I have 23 year’s experience in the Electrical Trade with both New Construction as well as Service Work. I enjoy being a Service Electrician, because fixing problems is the most rewarding part of my job. My goal is to provide excellent customer service and support to all of our clients.

  • Mohammed Zen Akram

    FIELD SERVICE MANAGER

    I've been in the Lighting Control Industry for five years. I love how various control systems interact to create an experience for the customer. Being part of the field service team is great because I get to work with various personalities solving new challenges with each job. Qnorthwest has made this profession even better by emphasizing individual growth and support within the company. Outside of work you’ll find me planning my next get together or getaway with friends and family or working on my motorcycles and enjoying a cruise.

    FIELD ENGINEER SUPERVISOR

    I have been in the industry for 11+ years - 8 of those years have been with Qnorthwest and I'm still going strong. Being in the service business, Qnorthwest really emphasizes taking care of their employees and in return employees willingly take care of the company. Troubleshooting issues on site is one of my favorite things to do and making impossible into possible which brings me great contentment. Fun facts, I love to play all kinds of sports whenever I’m not out in the woods camping.

    I enjoy working with clients and team members towards a common goal to build something useful. After five years at Qnorthwest, I feel confident troubleshooting, managing projects and dialing in fine details. Each day, it feels very easy to reach out to coworkers for assistance while on a job site. Together we all help each other accomplish the project at hand. I love spend time with friends and family, attending sporting events, traveling, hiking, running and learning new languages.

    I began my career in the residential audio video industry where I learned to apply my expertise and customer service to commercial field service. I have over eight years of automation and integration experience and enjoy being an integral part of the Qnorthwest team.

  • Gian Carlo Agar

    FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

    I’ve been with Qnorthwest since June 2016. Previously, I was working as a home integrator. I chose this field of work since I have a background with installing and programming control systems. I chose to work for Qnorthwest because of the company culture as well as the care that Qnorthwest provides to their employees. My passions involve mountain activities such as camping, rock climbing, fly fishing and off roading.

  • Joshua Davies

    FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

    I’ve spent 12 years in automation & controls (6 of which with Qnorthwest). Troubleshooting and complex problem solving are big strengths of mine, and I love working with Qnorthwest because I get to do it every day. I enjoy completing projects in a wide variety of locations. I am a multi-instrumentalist and my spare time is spent playing and producing music, cooking with my kids, reading, or Rollerblading.

    FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER

    Since joining Qnorthwest in 2021, I have immersed myself in the world of commercial lighting control, focusing on driving complicated projects to completion. At Qnorthwest, I've had the opportunity to master several control systems, contributing to projects across the country. I find immense fulfillment in learning from talented colleagues and mentoring new technicians. When not on a job site, you'll find me engaged in my many hobbies: gaming, smoking meats, collecting cast iron or playing with my German Shepherd.

    FIELD SERVICE

    Before immersing myself into the world of lighting and joining Qnorthwest, I was traversing through kitchens. I have been welcomed with open arms and greeted with an eagerness to progress through the encouragement of my colleagues.

    During my off-time I love to cook with lots of music so I can dance my way through the meal. I also love to hike as much as I can, rain or shine. I love being amidst the trees. I also enjoy reading, gaming with friends or planning the next fun road trip with my loved ones.
